My Story
Terrence Payne is the strategic mind behind AquaPro Swim Academy, blending global leadership experience with a deep passion for sport and mentorship. His corporate career spans Financial, IT, Operational, and Business Development roles across manufacturing, logistics, oil & gas, and mining sectors, with work across South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Swaziland, Zambia, Uganda, and Lesotho. A lifelong athlete, Terrence has competed in athletics, swimming, cricket, and football at both amateur and professional levels. He’s also coached young children, focusing on character-building through sport. Holding an SDIT Level 1 swimming instruction certificate, he’s now channeling his energy into aquatic education. Terrence founded AquaPro to create a nurturing space where swimmers of all ages build confidence, discipline, and joy. Alongside his wife Charmaine, he champions a shared vision of empowerment, wellness, and education—making AquaPro Swim Academy a place where community and excellence thrive.

My Story
Charmaine Payne is a seasoned swimming instructor with over two decades of experience, certified since 1999 and trained by Swimming South Africa to teach babies and toddlers. Her qualifications in First Aid and CPR ensure a safe, nurturing environment for every swimmer. With a diploma in Developmental Psychology and a certificate in Early Childhood Development, Charmaine blends aquatic instruction with deep insight into how children grow and learn. Her lessons foster confidence, coordination, and joy. Together with her husband Terrence, Charmaine co-leads AquaPro Swim Academy with a shared vision of empowerment, education, and community. Her warmth, expertise, and passion make her a beloved mentor and role model.
